Looks like it may stay out to sea

I've almost become a meteorologist between surfing and waiting for mother nature to uncover history in Florida.
Alot of the ones that weaken that far out get steered by lower level winds that tend to push the storms west..as they get stronger the cloud tops get higher and caught up in the upper level jet that heads the storms northward.
A weak system that stays together can be a whole other story when it gets closer to our neck of the woods.
Erin should encounter drier air in the next day or so..also southwesterly shear..in my eyes that should weaken it to the point of that track flattening out and a more westward track be put out by NOAA shortly.

Weather forum? This is a forum for shipwrecks. Wrong forum!

How does it make ya feel when told this?

detecting conditions on the beaches adjacent to shipwrecks are directly effected by ocean conditions ...the biggest potential change to the ocean conditions and therefore hunting conditions this time of year in Florida is by these storms...so..your point is what?
It makes me feel like I'm answering someone with a chip on his shoulder about something..that's how.

Exactly how I felt when you commented on my finds and post. Like you had a chip on your shoulder... FYI, there isn't a forum titled " Native American Artifacts " atleast not that i know of... Just wanted you to feel how I did.

Happy hunting!

Your in the shipwreck forum.. see.

Calm down people I can see both your points.

Please let it go now

Tracking storms is a normal thing for the folks in this forum..he just made a personal stab at me because of his feelings stemming from a thread in a totally different form.
I'm calm I'm not entertaining this any longer.

To be honest, I hope the big ones stay away.

My ideal circumstance is a nice little tropical storm that does no damage to anything beyond a roof tile or two.
As someone who lives with earshot of the beach, I'm definitely not 'excited' by the prospect of an incoming storm since it could cause me, personally 50X the loss of all the 'beach finds' put together but as a TH'er, I am always aware of the inevitable and will take opportunities as they come.

Agree.. The surf doesn't have to get real big as long as it's at a good angle. Throw some surge in and things can get pretty interesting.

Do not start trading "punches" in the forums...

Thank you ..

A lot of us have boats in the water so weather is a big thing in the treasure biz.All the land detector guys and gals hope for a big storm.Us people with boats in the water don't.It is very costly to have them pulled out of the water and also to move them to a safe location out of harms way.

I'm not taking any chances, I pulled mine out yesterday.... :laughing7:

Kevin... That thing would look great riding on the top of your' Fiat 500...oh wait, maybe not since it is bigger than the Fiat! Besides, it would block you from driving with your' head sticking out the sunroof. LOL!!
