Found a bag full of buttons. Waterbury Button Co. Conn
I thought they were brass military buttons, but I'm not having any luck finding them.

Eagle with branch in center and what appears to be a modified southern cross behind.
Looks like enough buttons for a coat.

Thanks!

JW, this appears to be a button off of a Firefighters dress coat or blouse. This looks to be a Maltese Cross with a fire helmet and a officer's trumpet in the center. Nice looking button.

Huh? Where do you see a fire helmet and trumpet. I see a cross with the Great Seal. Maybe I’m not looking at the same thing.

1st - I noticed this was your very first post - so, Welcome Aboard JourneyWoman! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forum: Select Your Area.... and selecting location information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).

2nd - Nice VFW Buttons!
