This might stir up a hornets nest BUT I dont get why people take an advanced detector and make it in to a novice one
BECAUSE YOU CAN MAKE ANY DETECTOR IN TO A TTF MACHINE WHY PAY ALL THAT MONEY IF THEY ARE GOING TO TUNE
IT DOWN THEY MIGHT AS WELL BY A WALMART BOUNTY HUNTER IT WILL DO THE SAME THING PLEASE WILL SOMEONE
GIVE ME A GOOD REASON . PLEASE KEEP IN MIND I HAVE NO MALICE TOWARDS THIS TOPIC I JUST DONT UNDERSTAND

its because minelab explorer is one of the best detectors available now, deep, very good iron identification and etc. but minus is bit slow in recovery speed. in ferrous you can detect with open screen without discrimination and make detector a bit faster, plus hear all the targets. this is the point, Stasys

It's like buying a $100 set of speakers compared to some for $1,000. They both play your music but there's definitely a difference.

a walmart bounty hunter is not even close...lol :laughing7:
the etrac in TTF is AMAZINGLY fast at picking out coins mixed in with iron. Lightning fast...........THAT is the difference

AGREED TTF is a very responsive mode to use---less filters, greater depth--but has its limitations---not good for trashy areas--but great for field hunting and around areas with a lot of iron. I am a novice at TTF but am having a great time and finding some neat targets in areas most people would never hunt. The ground has been there forever---pick a spot out sometime that you would never consider hunting (i.e.--cornfield or such)--go have some fun---try it --you will see what I mean!
