Turn of the century ribbons

Any thoughts on the market or value of these ribbons? They are mostly delegate ribbons for firemen's conventions in the late 1800s.

I don't know if there is a market for them but I would be interested in buying them as a gift for my father-in-law.

Are some of them sterling? The darker ones?

There is a market for them. Most of these can sell in the 20-50 range depending on whose on EBay that week. If any are sterling those prices will be quite a bit higher in my experience.

Thanks for the info. None of the ribbons are sterling, but mixed in with the buttons and ribbons was this pin, which is sterling. Not sure what war this is from; probably WWI based on the age of the other stuff.

Those are beautiful ribbons and a great piece of Fire fighter history. I'd give you a $100 bill for them and I'm not even a collector.

I shoudl think they will do VERY well on Ebay, either individually, or in a lot. There are a lot of collectors of Firefighter memorabilia. I would start them as a lot at $99.99 and let them run. My friend had an old helmut. He put it up for $400 or best offer. He received 5 offers in 20 minutes, so he removed the sale, and re-listed it at $999.99 with no best offer. It sold the second day.

A lot? I feel like he would make way more on them if he listed individually, especially if a collector recognizes and wants one of the specific departments.
