turtle is what im told

This was found thirty feet below the surface. The guys said it was a turtle. Im yet to see it in person. Im in central illinois. what do you guys think?

They said once they washed off the mud and it dried that it was unmistakable. I was told they have contacted a museum about it. I sure would like to buy it

Looks to me to be a concretion . . . a geofact.

I would call it a geofact. A concretion or septarian nodule.
