Two Bags of Treasure!

[KYshooter]

That's what I got from a friend today.

This morning, a great friend of mine stuck something in my hand. Two really heavy velvet bags. He told me that they were "cluttering up a drawer" at home and he wanted me to have them. He said he knew that I could appreciate them ...

My hands were shaking a bit as I opened them up at home to see what was inside these heavy little bags ...

In the end, I realized that this friend had given me ...
18 - 90% Silver Halves
4 - 40% Silver Halves
34 Silver Quarters
3 Mercury Dimes

That's 13.466 Ounces of Silver!!!

Crazy! I can't believe this early Christmas gift.

But I'll take it ...

Warms my cold, rained-out Metal Detecting soul. Will definitely tide me over till I can get back out!

Ain't no doubt ... he is a long-time collector, but sold most of his stuff years ago. These were just some "odds and ends" that he rounded up.

I can't believe he just gave them to me. I'm humbled by his generosity.

They are now part of my sliver stash ... headed to the safe deposit box.
