Two Boxes of Halves -- Two surprising finds

Hey all,

So I've been on a dime kick lately, doing well too, and decided to try my hand at halves again. Ordered two boxes and just picked them up today. First box was a skunk for silver, but did yield a weird gold plated? coin. Appears to be clad in a goldish colored metal. So much so that the letters and such are softened.

Second box was a bit better and also offered up a surprise. This one in the form of a 1968S Kennedy Proof.

So not too bad for not having done halves in a while. Not sure if the 1968S is worth any more than melt though.

Nice score on the silver proof. I just got a 1970 S last week. Those 40% silver proofs don't look like silver to me sometimes.
