Went out to a permission property in Virginia. This (Civil War relics) is all new to me as I’m used to hunting West Coast beaches!

Day 1:

I believe these are .69 round balls and mini balls, one being a “pressed and turned 6 point star” ? If anyone has a more specific ID please chime in! (Sorry I don’t have a nifty gauge measuring device).

The button fell apart in my hands but the inside looked much better then outside!

Day 2:

Got my first large copper (which has seen better days). You can just make out the date 1853 (which happens to be my oldest coin).

I believe that’s called a “j hook”, some square nails, not sure of the caliber of the smaller round but it’s lead and has the right color patina as the mini balls did. The mini balls appears to be cut or drilled, any info would be appreciated.

Nice finds. In camp, the soldiers messed with carving the bullets constantly. You're is probably just that, a carved bullet, and a very nice find.
