Well I really found one Eagle Button and a 1857 Flying Eagle penny. Also in the two days, I picked up
a 1898 V Nickel, 1916 D & 1910 Wheat pennies, 2 buckles, 1 knife, 1 ring, gold inside all of it, hardly none on the outside, and what looks like a trigger guard, two heal plates and a couple of other buttons. I also dug a really nice Livery Tag. Pretty good start for the season!

All of these items were found in the Great State of Ohio. Hopefully, I will be able to show some great finds next week, when I attend DIV XIV. Wish me luck, I'll need it.

Hey Buddy, whats going on down in Marysville? Yea Gary and I got some this past week. We hit a site that the guy had planted alpha in. He said go ahead and hunt because it wasn't growing to well yet. Wow, did we have fun. I love it when a farmer remember you and says go ahead and have fun. My kinda diggin. LOL

So you been out digging, or you been driving a lot?

Take Care my Friend,
Denny

Thanks for your reply, the tag believe it or not, was used 20 miles from where it was found. Only thing my partner and I can think of how it got where it was, is that the Livery stable guy pulled school buses with a team of horses from his stable and lost the Livery Tag. Back then, that's the way school buses were pulled. The school house where I found this tag at is long gone and was originally built back in the 1860's.
