Very happy about this hunt, found one of my favorite coins . Weather was awesome today felt like spring, temps must have been around 50. Edges of my favorite lake to hunt were thawed out...so took a walk around the lake and pulled out two first for me in one hunt. Hunt started off pretty slow, got about 3 zincins, 2-3 memorials, handful of fish weights and pull tabs, the usual. Then decided to hit a spot I've never tried that was pretty over grown. Within a few minutes had a good signal dug it out...and saw a ring, knew right away this one wasn't junk had tarnish all over it.
Pumped up from my last find I got back to swinging the coil and no more than 10 minutes later another good signal...dug it out and bam a fish weight. Odd I thought sounded better then just a fish weight, so I rechecked the hole and got another signal. Took a few scoops to get it out but when I did sat there for a couple minutes just staring at my pile of sand...came out eagle side up but I knew right away what it was (SLQ quarter). My first silver quarter and Silver ring in one hunt, couldn't wish for a better day . Thanks for reading (P.S diamonds in the ring are fake)
