Today was one of those days when I still feel pretty new to metal detecting… I can’t say as I’ve ever seen a two holed silver button posted before.
This little button rang up 25-26 on my Nox and I felt pretty silly taking out my test kit when i got home but the silver solution didnt touch scratches.
Does anyone have any insight? Google searches keep returning links to modern buttons

I know the colour can fool you out of the ground sometimes but your button is made of tombac...an alloy of brass that's not used much anymore...maybe it's the arsenic lol.
Dates to probably the last half of the 1800s
Neat find...keep at it theres lots of fun with finding old buttons!
