Two of my best finds today

Went out for a short hunt today. Found these two beauties a out 2ft from each other.
The button is an Alabama Volunteer Corp cuff button. Amazing amount of gilt left on it for being in the ground for almost 160yrs.
The Shield Nickel is an 1868.

Oh and the button has full shank and Evans & Co Massachusetts.
