Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Congratulations on your first large cents.

The one on the left looks like a matron head. That would make it earlier than 1850s. More likely 1820s.. possibly late teens. The other one is too crudded over to tell. Congrats!

Awesome feeling finding your firsts of anything you've hoped to find- Congrats! The one on the left looks like a Matron head, the right more like a braided hair (hard to tell)- great finds regardless..

I plan on destroying them with a gentle combination of tooth picks, Brass brushes, and electrolysis....wish me luck!

Nice dave...looks like you got the wave of luck too !! Congrats on the large cents !!

Nice coins Dave. Congrats on the two. GL on the cleaning.:occasion14:

BIG Congrats on the old coppers! :occasion14:

Electrolysis will destroy them in minutes. Mechanically dry clean them. Use a toothpick and work the dirt off or get a set of the Andre's pencils. Those work great.

You put liquid on them, they're done. I guarantee it.

Right now they are worth approximately 8 cents in copper.... destroying them will provide me with more entertainment than I was planning for tomorrow.

Congrats on your first largies! Always a thrill to dig a big copper!

Those are some ugly beautiful coins

Better looking than the only LC I have dug.... LC predate my area. I’d be stoked to dig those two! Congrats man!
