type and age?

My mother found these in the 1920's in northeastern Illinois....as well as a literal cigar box full of others. Any idea as to age and type?

Big one looks like a Kirk to me they can be around 9000 years old,,, not sure what the bifuricate base one is. They are both very nice. Hopefully someone from your area will chime in. I would enjoy a cigar box full of those for sure. Thanks for sharing.

Any basal grinding on the larger one(does the base feel smoothed)? If not, probably a Middle Woodland piece about two thousand years old. The smaller one is a classic Fox Valley, 7000 B.C.

no, no basal grinding....and the actual Fox Valley area is where she found it.

Could the small one be a stemmed Lacroy? Do they exist?

The big blade looks like it is a Hopewell point also related to Snyders points. The other point i'm going to agree with Illiniguy and Reap.............Nice finds...........GTP(Chris)
