Found this near an old barn today. It's heavy AF for its size. First thought was a weight of some sort maybe ? I don't think it's a roller bar

I would think it's iron or lead . I would imagine as heavy as it is it's not lead but I could be wrong

Quick scratch or poke with a pin or knife point will tell you if its lead or not.

Lead would also weight about 1/3 more than a piece of iron of the same size, so if an iron piece weights 8 ounces a lead piece of the same size would weigh approximately 12 ounces.

From here it looks like lead.

Is it attracted to a magnet?
What tests have you done?

It could be what's left from an old anode rod.
Some are made from magnesium.

If it weighs 4 ounces, and the small hole runs the length, it aligns with the description of fishing/trolling weights.

Thank you .. Still kickin, but not quite as high. For a while it was questionable if I would kick at all.
