U.S. Navy Item

[mainer]

Hey all found this today was wondering if someone could tell me a little more about it. I assume it went on a bracelet, but am not sure? Was wondering what the time period might be on it? House was built in the early 1800's and still has people in it today so could be from any time frame. Thanks for the help.
