Unidentifiable Find??? Any help???

I found this in a SE Florida intracoastal park that has been around since the 1960's. I also found multiple coins from the 60's-90's. I'm not sure of the metal type. It's roughly 1"x 5" and appears to have the numbers 6 5 marked on it and possibly faces. Any input would be appreciated!

I think Jason may be on to something! Here is how they are used on hulls.

Looks like a sacrificial anode to prevent corrosion.

BTW:Welcome FLTreasure!
And I would very much like to congratulate you on your proper use of the term "Intracoastal".
So many folks get that wrong: Innercoastal, Intercoastal, etc... Drives me crazy. :tongue3:

Lol thanks �� Yeah most people use intercoastal. I probably would also if I hadn't seen it on a sign before �� Thx for the welcome!
