Union civil war button

[Dirt fishing Wolf]

I'm digging all my iron targets at this new site. I think I'm on a union campsite. No homestead on the 1870 map, finding square nails of all sizes and manny buttons. They will be planting soon so I'm hitting it hard. Here is what I found today.

Nice finds. I am about to lose three 1870's sites as soon as they plant, the 35 acres they were on. Corn, then Beans, wonder what will be this year?
