I found several of these copper "cones" while cleaning out my father's shop. My father was a teacher and carpenter, but he also dabbled in metal work including some copper enameling. I have no idea what he may have acquired these items for. (I used a quarter in the photos, so you'll be able to tell the relative size of the objects.

Looks like the foot cap for a stool or some decorative piece.

You don't see where a bell could have attached inside?

Are all the cones you found the same size?
Could they be moulds for forming the copper work?

Update of Unique Copper Object

UPDATED info on the Copper Objects:
Thanks for your questions and ideas. They inspired me to dig a bit more. Voila! I found a whole (wire) basket of the copper objects. There's 45 of them in all. Additionally, half of them are more complete cones as you'll notice in the updated photo. Notice the "complete" cone has a rounded tip. And the "cones" that are flat, have a flat spot where the tip once was. It leads me to think that the objects may have started as cones and then were "squashed" for some reason.
