I took my grandson out metal detecting and his first find was amazing. He found a lead bar used during the Cival War for making bullets out in the field. The location was in a field next to a river that saw action during the war. He was so excited and I was too. We had a great time together which is the best part of the story. 1st - I noticed this was your very first post - so, Welcome Aboard debjo (and Grandson)! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... and selecting location information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).

3rd - FWIW - I searched Google and found that a Ben D. Schaad of Littlerock, AR was also a Machinery Company in Little Rock 1917.
