Unique piece of flint

I found this today digging at this overhang. Does anybody else think the way they worked this that the white part looks like a bird? I like it

It is a really nice thumb scraper.

The “bird” part IS make believe.
Everyone can see that kind of stuff, It’s how we’re wired.
It has nothing to do with the Real artifacts you are finding.

thumb scrapers are an under appreciated relic by some collectors.

I like them. I have found many over the years.

The tools, thumb and flake scrapers can tell you loads about a site when hunting it. Just as the debitage can.

That relic has all the properties of a top thumb scraper. Symmetry, color contrast and edge work. Very nice.
