The librarian at our local library tried to find vol-3 of the united states treasure atlas for an interlibrary loan. Not only did she find it, but found one in the discard pile at another library and asked if I wanted to buy it and I told her I would give them $20.00 for it and pay the shipping. She called them up and they said they had threw it into the trash because they could not sell library books that the taxpayers had paid for. She told me this was nonsense but each director at different libraries did things their own way. She is trying to get copy for me thru the library system, but it would have been great to have a copy of my own. Our local library sells books all the time to raise money to buy new books, but everybody is not as nice as the folks at our library. Interlibrary loan is better than nothing. I also ordered Beachcomber's Handbook by Warren Merkitch and another book by Louis J. Matacia from the library of congress.
