When I first dug it, I thought it could be related to an early pistol. I hope more can give input and possibly confirm your ID.

And it's only PA Colonial losers that don't know the difference between "suppose" and "assume". :laughing7:

Does something smell in here?

Sorry to get off topic. But I was serious the guy should be on TV.

Don't worry.... there's at least a couple behind the scenes working on it. And if we all fail I know an expert/collector for Colonial period guns. He'll know... I just have to track down his email.

Not any gun part I have seen. Can we get a side view? Is the orange a iron strap?

I'm thinking more cane head or something but it will probably wind up being horse brass. ::) Looks 18th c.

On that other photo... we don't have people like that around here. :o They all move to the East or West Coast. :hello2: :laughing7:

Would you mind posting a photo or two looking at it edgewise? Thanks .. That's an interesting relic.

Looks to have a floral leaf design on it. Is that right? I am guessing a cane/walking stick topper.

Kyle, :hello:
Hey buddy just saw this post of yours. And it reminds me of two items I found.Take a look at this old post of mine and see what you think.I've found two like them both from very old sites so are a little different then yours but look like the same idea for use.I think I ask about my two before and sorta got blown off about it.So I made my own opinion thinking some kind of strap guide.

Not really cause the site mine came from is at least over 100 yrs before your pat.. And is not the same style at all. It's alot heavier built then that looks. And not sure they aren't bronze the ones I found. :icon_scratch: I think Kyles is a little afterwards maybe late 1700's early 1800's but along the same lines sorta as mine.Just more decorative.
