These seem to pop up at 1800's home sites every so often and I haven't been able to figure out what they're from. So far I have four that are pretty much the same with the scalloped ridges in the channel and similar in size, but not exactly. All are one-piece construction and look like cast brass.

Have you guys seen these before and know what they were used for?

They are the ends of the long horizontal wooden dowel inside an antique roll-up windowshade.

Those "axeled brass wheel with 3 holes" objects perplexed we relic-diggers for decades. Let me give public credit to What-Is-It? forum relic-ID helper Taz42o for finding and posting this scan of a page in a late-1800s/early-1900s mail order catalog (Sears & Roebuck, I think).

Thank you so much; I never would have guessed that in a million years! You actually helped me doubly; the end piece that the roller fits into I've also found at another site, so now that's out of the mystery box too!
