Last week, I found only two items at a site I pounded over the years, one was a 1723 KGI Halfpenny and the other this relic that is cuff sized (17mm) and button like, but appears to have been sandwiched with different metals, pewter for sure and possibly a white metal or low grade copper. The side that is scalloped and decorative is different metal from the rest of the relic. It also had remains of gold gilt on that side. It is a domed a bit. So I am at a lost as to its identity... It could be a button gone bad. :) Just don't know so posting here.
