Any help with this button would be appreciated!
I think the "P" stands for Police, per my initial research. Not sure though! It says....."Waterbury Button Company, then a small star like symbol, then "Conn."

It's a police mans button... dating to post civil war period.

That is what I was thinking it was. Makes you wonder who wore it! Love the history behind the things we find in the ground.
