Unknown Mineral in Red Quartz

Digging on a red quartz vein last weekend and this what I found when I broke the rock open. Any ideas what mineral made the honeycomb? The other rock is out of the same outcrop.

Did you do a hardness and streak test?

The streak is reddish. The hardness would be hard to find as the mineral is vuggy and disintegrates with pressures applied to it. Hematite?
