Unknown Pewter Object

Hello Everyone, found this interesting Pewter object at the same cellar hole that produced a complete rattail spoon the week before. It is several inches long. I took the picture with a penny to show the size. It is threaded inside the base as shown in the second picture.

Any and all help in identifying this object is greatly appreciated!
