Hello! I am the 13 year old that Metal detects at my grandparents civil war house. I have found civil war bricks, horseshoes,mercs,3 ringers, and this unknown item I found next to the handmade bricks ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1508679884.270627.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1508679894.355185.webp and it has a circular top

It is hard to say why the rock was rounded off with a flat bottom but more than likely it was used as a decorative cap rock and was made to sit with others atop a brick or rock wall. That is my guess but I am sure there will be more ideas and theories.
