Unknown rock

Hi .
My daughter recently went to Cuba and she found a rock there for me she said its the only rock dhw could find walking the beach.. does Anyone one know what it is?

Hard to say. It's crystalline, so my guess would be calcite, or quartz.

It would help if you took more than one picture. Also, outside in natural light is best.

It looks to me as quartz with carnelian agate around the base. Polish the sides if you can, the bands will be quite nice!

See if a knife scratches it.
Calcite, aragonite are a few possibilities. See if it reacts with vinegar.
