Found this in an old park today. Thought it was going to be a silver quarter. Fairly deep too. The token shows all German lettering and I believe it says 1930.

It's a pre-war German 50 pfennig coin. A pfennig was worth 1/100 of a Duetsch mark, or one German cent. One can plainly read "REICHS PFENNIG" which means ""EMPIRE PFENNIG" meaning the German Third Reich. From the pitting corrosion which is present, it looks like your 50 pfennig coin may have been struck from aluminum, my friend. You can view similiar coins here: http://luckylukeonline.com/Minor.html
