Post mint. Man shaved down the nickel. Don't know why, but this nickel was shaved.

I used to date a girl whos dad worked on washing commercial washing machines..and i saw a quarter that looked just like that..except the other side wasnt in that good of shape
 

To me it looks sort of like someone put it up to a belt sander that had a fine or worn out belt on it.

I agree, that's a sure way to sharpen the belt to your sander

I didn't say that it made sense. :icon_scratch: I just said that that is what it looks like. I de-burr metal parts everyday on a belt sander after working it over in a lathe, milling machine, CNC mill, or saw, and that's what it looks like to me.
