These are very recent. I went back to a site at which point has now been pounded. After going all over the fields, with little to show for it, I opted to go into one area we hadn't found much in. It's down a little gulley, not the best place for an encampment, but in a very small area of about 20' x 20' was able to find a few items. This is the first time ever I have found two seated dimes in one day! I may have 5 or 6 total I have ever found (I lose track, once I put them away, I sort of forget how much I have, until I pull them out and go oh yeah!). The button is a NY button, and two of the bullets are modern. IMG_0699.webpIMG_0700.webp

Now we're metal detecting. Nice finds.

In that 10 % might be the find of a life time so no need to take any chances... lol

Man that's awesome! Congrats on the dimes and that button is a good one too!

Great job Smokey

Calabash, I did a mini talk at our local club. One of the questions was did I have a bucket list - the answer is no. Been there, done that, bought the T shirt, but I would like to dig a Washington Inaugural button. Three huge dandies I got this year had me going for a minute, but alas, they were not inaugurals.

Very nice finds. Congratulations.

When I get the time, I'll mic the modern bullets. I'd like to know what fired them, we have Model 1911 Thompson submachine guns bullets on this site.
