I took the ring to a coin shop Monday after work and the owner of the store is also a metal detecter nut. He almost had a heart attack when I placed the ring on the glass counter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s a fake diamond ring!!!!!!!!!!!!! He said it’s a 925 ring with a strange coating over the silver?????????? He was not sure what the coating was??? He said the diamonds are fake!!!!!!!!!!!! I might I get a second opinion on the ring just to be sure??????? this crazy ring has been playing with my mind ever since I have found it!!!!!!!!

I was md'ing in that area in sandals and lost my toe ring. My batteries went dead in my Ace 250, so I had to give up my search but alas, you have found it! :icon_jokercolor:

That's still a great ring and a wonderful find. . . no matter what any jeweler says :)

Take care & HH!

that sucks! I found an earring that i thought was gold and had a big diamond in it. But the person who tested my find said it was fake. So yeah. What a bummer.

I'm pretty sure if it's marked 925 it has to be 92.5% silver by law.. as for the diamond you really should take it to a jeweler ..don't think a coin dealer would be a expert in the advice he gave you...
