updating WS2 headphones

I am updating to version 2.0 and had no problem updating the monitor but the headphones are a complete nightmare. I have spent a few hours trying to update the headphones, used YouTube and also other means and nothing get's the job done. Using the XP site I select the proper headphones and follow the steps then get a message to "connect HID device". I am using the XP2 charging cable and plug it in when asked then get that message. For the time being I might as well not have a detector if I cannot update the headphone. I have tried numerous times using the XP site and Youtube and still not updated. Help please so I can use my detector in the water!

You cannot update the headphones using the charging cable. You only use XP2 charging cable to update the remote.

To update the head phones you need to use the single side lead cable that came with your Deus 2.

Been there tried that, I can relate to his frustration.
But it works wonders when the right cable is attached.

that's crazy that I cannot use the charging cable. I bought this detector two or three years ago and have no idea what that charging cable looks like and worse than that I have a bunch of similar cables and only now have upgraded from .7 to 1.10 and now I cannot use the detector unless I roll back. I will check the link and thank you.
