Found this ring today in a trash dump I've been digging for the past year. This dump is huge and deep. The cellar hole near it dates from the mid 1800's-mid 1900's so hopefully when I get the modern trash out there will be some good stuff in there. I couldn't believe I eyed this when I was digging. Made my day. I think it's WWll. Can someone confirm this? It's a nice big ring. Weights 12.5g and still has the glass stone.

I still had a great time. If you put all out finds together it was a pretty good day.

I'm sure. there is a lot of earth to move first. When's the next outing? I have a few spots in mind out here.

dig deeper .. love the ring .. looks like one I've seen in the late 60's. you are the ring master!:hello:

That would make anyone's day.......Nothing better than seeing a ring in the dirt...!

That's a really awesome find

That's a unique one. Love it!

Congrats.Thats a cool find.HH.

That's a nice ring... different. I use to dig bottles but never uncovered any jewelry.

Thanks everyone. I think once I move the larger objects out I might bring in my sifter. This might have just made its way in there on accident but now that I've found this I can't help but think there could be more.

Great looking ring, congrats on the find.

Nice Find Greylock. I'd say WWII. In WWI the eagles head was in more of a downward position. Some of the downward dies were still used in WWII but the design was already officially changed. Hope this helps.

I confirmed a Quartermaster corp ring I had found with the Quartermaster Corp Museum. Just sent an Email with pics. Luthor was happy to see it and help! Turned out to be a WWII ring made with a WWI die. The change was made in 1938
