Sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place. I was searching for previous threads but couldn't find any. Any recommendations on U.S. coin books for price/rarity?

I hear redbook is great info but to ignore the prices. That's all I can tell ya because I don't have a book, just an iPad. I always cross reference, some inflate their price, and other sites have good info on grading. Coinbook pro is a good app that I use.

Yes, as "Adjove" mentioned above the 'redbook' is the standard for coin collectors:
"The Official Red Book--A Guide Book of United States Coins" by R.S. Yeoman, Edited by Kenneth Bressett.
However PCGS has an site to assist collectors with grading their coins; and Ebay is a good site to see what coins are actually selling for (forget the asking prices-go to 'Completed Listings' to find the actual sales).

Thanks for keeping me included. I've posted in other forums and have been skipped over like I never posted anything. Tnet is to me is proving to be one of the great things about this hobby. Happy hunting everyone.
