Went back out to the spot this morning, that I hit yesterday and glad I did.. For the first hour I went exploring other areas in the same place and nothing was coming up so went back to where the homesite is and starting to dig flat buttons, after the 4th button, I had another signal and thinking its just another flat button, will it was definitely a button. USA Rev button.

Rare enough for a BANNER vote from me. They’re damn hard to find. How often do we see them posted? Not very often. On top of that it’s just s great piece of this countries history

Congrats on the USA, definitely a special button in my display as well. Been a rough go getting these on top, but alas I'll try again with a vote

Congrats on a nice Continental USA. Tough to find them intact. The only one I ever found is missing a lot of the rim.

Nice find, if it doesn't make it up top, I'd be surprised.
how rare you ask? In my area, I've dug 2.5 Mass Silvers for each block USA pewter, so, they are quite rare.
supply a max diameter in mm, I'll try to get back with a variety for you.
Congrats, you have my vote.
Oh yeah, pewter buttons have a nasty habit of flaking and disintegration, recommend stabilizing soon, keeping it moist for now should help.

Hey Steve,
I've dug a 28mm and a 20, neither had an ornamental rim as this posts apparent rope or cable, the plain rims are listed in Albert as #3 somethings I believe...
Saltwater tin/pewter may blister, but it doesn't disintegrate like inland buttons.
you likely knew about the plains already :hello:
