Went back out to the spot this morning, that I hit yesterday and glad I did.. For the first hour I went exploring other areas in the same place and nothing was coming up so went back to where the homesite is and starting to dig flat buttons, after the 4th button, I had another signal and thinking its just another flat button, will it was definitely a button. USA Rev button.

Hey Steve,
I've dug a 28mm and a 20, neither had an ornamental rim as this posts apparent rope or cable, the plain rims are listed in Albert as #3 somethings I believe...
Saltwater tin/pewter may blister, but it doesn't disintegrate like inland buttons.
you likely knew about the plains already

I haven't really studied the variants since I don't expect to dig very many
Here is my one and only....no telling what kind of rim it had
