Lots of pictographs and petroglyphs in this area. My son spotted 3 scattered pieces of pottery that fitted together. We did a lot of hiking in canyons in hundred degree temps. First day was rough but by the second day I was more able to tolerate it. My favorite petroglyph was the one that looks a whole lot like a bigfoot.

Yeah my son checked out Pintado Canyon and got some pics on his way back to Wyoming.

Those are amazing, I would love to see those myself.
If you ever get out there Rebel, I would recommend drive along Potash Road north of Moab, which runs along the north bank of the Colorado River. At least for your first time out anyway, til you figure out the country. You just park along side of the road and see all kinds of them. Those pics I posted, except for the fourth one which is at Newspaper Rock, we had to hike a long ways in canyons to see them. That's rough desert country and very hot this time of year, and I don't want to see you get discouraged. Hope you get to see them someday.
