Uwharrie national forest slucing question

Hey guys, I'm confused since most say you can use a sluice in uwharrie but a few people on the internet say you can't use a sluice or even a shovel. I could really use some feedback. Thanks.

I just called the park ranger. Sluice is ok just can't be longer than 4 feet.
