Great. I'm a Vietnam era veteran and just recently got my VA card. I returned from Vietnam with both eardrums ruptured and got one fixed at a regular hospital many years ago. Recently the unfixed one has been hurting and oozing a clear liquid so I figured I would let the VA handle it. But....

Johnny...sorry to hear that you are suffering and hope you find relief soon! I think you should be fine having the problem with your ear fixed.
The article is talking about a piece of equipment not being sterilized in a particular procedure, that has to do with the colon.

Johnny, Since my retirement - admittedly only a few years ago, the VA has been nothing but fantastic!

I would guess that much more horrible things happen in regular civilian clinics/hospitals than the VA, but we always expect the VA to be perfect. Thankfully I have never had a bad experience in either...

Go get that dang ear fixed!
