Value of Original Sovereign

Hi Everybody, My detecting buddy of 25 years (My Dad) passed away 2 weeks ago and my mom is needing to know a rough estimate of what an original Sovereign is worth. I inhereted my dads other detecting equipment, but she needs to put a value on the sovereign for the courts and their paperwork. Any help is appreciated.

New models go for near $700. and yours being older didn't depreciate like other items do.

in my opinion IF it is the original (First) Version
$250.00

However I Would not be surprised for it to Bring $350
or more on EBay from someone Unimformed

Thanks for all the input, I agree with the first reply that it is priceless (to me), but the $250 figure is more realistic. I will have her list it at that value for her paperwork. I will probably buy it myself as a backup. We will know more after the 1st of October when the judge gives her the ok to start selling off some stuff. My advice to anybody on here....make sure you have a Will, it is a mess if you don't.
