Well I suppose that depends on what denomination you are looking for, I think a 1/2 reale is a tad smaller than a dime and an 8 reale is about the size of a silver dollar - so in 18k anywhere from the high 80's to the high 90's.

Same here. I'm in the right area but haven't found it yet. My brother found two half reales and said on mxt the vdi was like trash. Was wondering why or was it just his machine.

Maybe his had a piece of iron close by? They are silver so they will ring up like silver, if no other metal is by the coin. When im at an old historic site where there's been no current activity, i dig everything from 40 and up.
