VDI Question

If depth changed the VDI on my trusty T2, it would always change to a lower number. It seems depth sometimes raises VDI on my EQN. Am I nuts or is this a thing? Thanks!

I have noticed VDI instablity at depth with high conductive targets but not solely raising VDI unless it is a trash target like a bottlecap or aluminum.
