The bone is mediaeval.

Looks like a Roman Ring?

Real cool Finds !

Congrats !

Great finds. :P

That vertebra with the metal in it is fascinating! It looks like metal was put in to replace disc.
I emailed the pix to a friend who is a spinal surgeon who installs metal implants nowadays...he might have some interesting perspective.

It reminds me of Steve Martin on SNL in the 1970's, Theodoric of York, medieval barber! Blood-letting and possible spinal implants!!

Awesome finds. Amazing how they inserted a metal object inside the persons spine so long ago without killing the individual. Great finds...

Very cool finds :hello2:
That bone looks more like a knuckle bone :icon_pirat: than a vertebra. What size is it?

I think it's a weighted game piece.

If it is --- then it's Very, Very Cool

and re-looking at the Roman 'ring', that has probably lost it's bone ::) and there might be another three in the vicinity where the two were found.

Mike
A Hungarian archaeologist said it, that bone cube.
