Hi I returned to the very productive Quartz hole today. One tide cycle has revealed more points and pieces underneath. In two days 5 full wading river points and two biface peices. Hundreds of shards and tens of half point. I really hope we do not get any big storms this winter. Nature is just revealing this area. Heres two full wading river points from today and other unfinished peices. More to come near future, but work may hold me up a bit.

Nice finds , your hunting buddy has some nice stuff too... few of them I would take out of that box to prevent any damage ... atleast the intact ones anyways

A couple more Quartz -Small Stemmed Points in the same area? As, Charlie noted, these were likely work shop implements. A lingering cultural occupation of that area is a safe assumption.

Also, your friend found a very fine Brewerton- Late Archaic- Notched Triangular Point. And, it’s a beauty. A little blurry, but I’m guessing it’s made of quartz also.

I’ll throw this out regarding the bulbous looking item your friend found (in the same area?). It has a useful shape and it may have been utilized as a net weight or for some other purpose, but it looks to be formed naturally.

Yes. He knows all about the net weight. Not all found in same exact hunting location. But all in a half hour of eachother. He has over 200 perfect ppints and near thousand peices. He is the one that got me into it. Has to gift him one nice one lately as he turned me on to a new location...
