OK, so I cheated a little. I found 2 $1 bills and a $10 bill folded together in the first 2 minutes. All modern (2003).

The story is I've looked at the baseball fields next to the VFW many times as I drove past because they are next to the park I MD. Finally emailed the commander and the fields had been sold. Emailed the realtor and they are going to be bulldozed in under 2 weeks. Got permission to MD.

Just my luck, since I'm correcting papers and then going to visit relatives in TN. I briefly reconned the fields today and the grass is knee high. I couldn't get the detector head closer then 3-4 inches above the ground in most places. If I had the time, I'd get a weed eater with a plastic blade out there! ;)

I found one 1994 penny and a pull tab, but decided to retreat to research the field more. If I could figure out how old the fields are, then maybe it would be worth the effort. Decided not to attach a photo of my "finds" but here is a google earth image of the area. 4 baseball fields large, sunken dugouts and everything. Concession building still on VFW land, so I couldn't check that out.

Any advice/help would be welcome.

HH.

I'm sorry to hear about the high grass. Maybe you can chat with the construction company...Ask to dig after they do.

Got to love finding the greenbacks, wtg!! Congrats!
