I went back to the place where I found the Spanish Silver from 1785 recently. I knew there was more relics to be found so I set off to dig every signal. I dug a ton of nails but I did come up with several buttons and a beautiful Cameo Cufflink. I'm not sure how early it is but it survived all these years and is in remarkable shape. Thanks for looking. Zax. Wow that is awesome! Always love seeing the cameo/portrait relics. This one is really cool though cuz of the color. What is the pink part made out of glass?

I'm not sure what it is made out off. I want to learn more about Cameo Cufflinks so I'm going to Google them. Any info would be great you guys.

Zax, that cameo is just gorgeous. It could be angel-skin coral or pink conch. Huge congrats. ~Lisa & John

The site I found it on is very early. I haven't found any modern finds on this site. Several tombac buttons and several very small cuff buttons. I will take a picture of all the finds I have found so far on this site. The Spanish 1/2 I found was dated 1785. The buttons are all period. I have hit the site hard over the past three days so I am going to give it a break for a while and revisit soon. The material could be conch shell or angel skin coral. Lisa and John wrote that in the comments. I am going to research some more and try to find out the material. Thanks for the comment. Zax

Lisa & John I am still in shock. The lady is carved so beautifully. When I dry brushed the dirt off I could not believe my eyes. It has survived many many years.

I am very proud of this find. This is my first cameo I have ever found. It is on a site where just a few days ago I dug a 1785 Spanish 1/2 real. Everything I have found on this little 100x100 ft area is period. I haven't even found any modern trash. It was in the middle of the woods for all these years just waiting to be discovered. Thank you for the nomination and I would love for everyone to be able to see it on top.

Great cameo. Be tante resting to see if you can date it.
Yes, tough one.
I'm just not sure if they had that design function in the 19th C, I think it might be early 1900s. But unsure, what I am sure of is it looks nice.

first one I see like that...she's a beauty!
