I am posting this for a friend. It was found in VA, that's all I know besides the pictures. I assume the "56" is the back half of the year, 1856. Pretty cool little piece though.

That is terrific research!

So that ties us back to the Masonic Seaboard Lodge No. 56.

I see on their website that they met at 467 Court St. in Portsmouth. The building dates to the 1930's. It was recently turned into a whiskey bar and restaurant. Now I want to go there...
